I Love my Job: Do You Really Like Your Job?

Do you like your job?
Can you not imagine doing anything else? If you love your job quote “I don’t like my job, I love my job!”, you are lucky.
In our modern world it’s much more common for a person to have more than one job over their working life.
Today’s Job Hunter
In the past one might have had only one job through their entire working life.
That job wasn’t always loved. Sometimes a person didn’t even like their job, but they stayed. In more recent years it has become much more common to have three or more jobs throughout their working life. Even more importantly, we have come to demand more from our jobs. Today it’s far more common for a person to stay at a job they like and leave a job they don’t like. Approx. 50% of the population is looking for a new job at any given time.

Don’t like your Job? How to Find a Job You Love

These steps will help you find the job you’ll love.
1. Switch Jobs Sooner
Have you ever heard anyone say they regret quitting a job too early?
It’s almost always the opposite where a person regrets that they didn’t quit their job sooner. You might think that sticking around where you currently work hoping things will get better is the right thing to do. Actually that’s the wrong decision. The longer you are employed at a job you hate the more of your self confidence and energy is eroded away. Do you love your job, not your company? it might be a good sign to move on.
2. Leave Yourself Time To Find That Perfect New Job
If you’re looking for that perfect job it might be the first one you are offered or the 50thone you are offered. What’s important is that you have time on your side and you don’t have to cave because of economic pressure.
3. Focus on What You Love at Work
When you are looking at a new job you should focus on what it is you will love not what you want to avoid from your last job. Even if you avoid everything you didn’t like from your previous job it won’t mean you’re going to be happy at your new job, unless you focus on what it is you love.
4. Leave the Salary Out
Do you love my job or you love the pay?
Many make the mistake of thinking the more money they make the happier they’ll be. That’s not the way it works. It’s really an illusion. Statistics show that those with above average earnings are seldom happier than those that make less.
5. Be Upfront About What You Want
If you are upfront about what it is you want you are far more likely to be happy at your new job. During your interview be upfront about how important being happy at your job is.
6. Make a Good Job a Great Job
You found a good job now it’s up to you to turn it into a great job. It’s all in your attitude and a positive attitude can make that job fantastic.
Do you really like your job? If you answered no it’s time to consider looking for a new job.
“Love your job like you love your best friend.”
